the gift of music

Lord, thank you for giving me the gift of music

i can sing when i'm up
i can strum when i'm down
i can dance when i'm struck
i can listen when i'm scared
i can hit my keys when i'm alone
i can be silent when i'm in a crowd

it's amazing how a tune lights up a gray day
it's also uplifting to hear one on a sunny day

this is my way of expressing worship
this is my way of saying my prayers
this is my way of giving thanks
this is my way of praising You
